SUBJECT:
TASK ORDER NO. 5 MODIFICATION NO. 5 ENTITLED "SUBCOOLED BOILING AT LOW PRESSURE" UNDER CONTRACT NO. NRC-04-97-046 in accordance with Section G.4, Task Order Procedures, of the subject contract, this letter definitizes Task Order No. 5 Modification No. 5. This effort shall be performed in accordance with the enclosed Statement of Work.
The period of performance for this task order remains January 14,1998 through November 30, 1999. The total estimated coct for full perform &nce of this task order is increased by $34,250 from $266,960 to $301,210. $30,000 in incremental funding is hereby allotted to Task Order No.
- 5. This action changes the total cumulative funds obligated for performance of this task order from $266,960 to $296,960. The Contractor shall not incur costs for this task order which exceed the cumulative obligated amount of $296,960. All other terms and conditions of Task Order No. 5 remain unchanged.

.. 1 Modification to Task Order #5, 'Subcooled Boiling at Low Pressure" Contract # NRC-04-97-046, Job Code W6749, " Thermal-Hydraulic Research" Additional Work Requirements The contractor shall design and build a 3x3 rod bundle in lieu of the proposed 2x2 rod bundle as authorizcd in Subtask 5.2. This modification does not increase the level of effort of the Task Order.
Task 5: Rod Bundle Geometry Subtask 5.2: Design A 3x3 rod bundle shall be designed and constructed. This geometry and any modifications made to the facility design shall be documented as additions to the letter report of Subtask 4.2 (Experimental Design) and submitted to NRC in both text and electronic format.
