Dear Mr. Martin:
Cooper Nuclear Station recently received the replacement telephones for our IIPN system.
These phones have now been installed by our local telephone contractor and have subsequently been verified operational by plant personnel.
Ilowever, the "old" IIPN system was not removed as we had understood it would be through previous discussions with Region IV personnel.
For testing purposes, and to comply with IE Notice 85-44, Cooper Station will conduct its monthly HPN surveillance only on the "new" commercial system beginning with the June, 1986, testing cycle.
