D. C. COOK MINI-SALP 6 INPUTS A mini-SALP board will be conducted on Thursday, June 19, 1986, at 1:00 p.m. in Conference Room C for the D. C. Cook plant.
The mini-board will be attended only by Regional personnel and will serve to inform Regional management of the status of the licensee's performance to date. By holding a mini-board now, at a point approximately two-thirds of the way through the rating period, the board will be able to better assess any needed changes in the licensee's performance, while it is still possible to effect changes, before the end of the rating period.
As a minimum, the following functional areas are to be addressed: Surveillance, Security, Quality Programs, Radiological Controls, and Refueling.
In addition, the responsible cognizant section in each division (DRP, DRSS and DRS) should assess other SALP functional areas and determine if the performance is such that the area is projected to receive a Category 3 or Category 2 (declining trend) rating.
Please provide a legible draft (a formal, error-free copy is not required) of your intended remarks for the mini-board meeting to the Section 2A Chief, B. L. Burgess, no later than noon Wednesday, June 18.
Please base your assessments on the period October 1 1985 through May 31, 1986 for both units. A statistical compilation for Section V of a normal SALP report will not be required for the June 19 meeting.
