Dear Mr. Berkow:
l I am writing concerning the Nuclear Reyt).atory Commission's recently completed Draf t Environmental Statement (DES) on the decommissioning of the Humboldt Bay Nuclear Power Plant Unit No.
3, in Humboldt County, Calif ornia.
I would hereby like to request a 60 day extension of the J une 16, 1986, deadline for public comments on the DES.
As the Humboldt plant will likely be this country's first nuclear reactor to be decommissioned, I'm sure you will agree with the necessity to ensure that all parties have an opportunity to comment on this highly complex process.
Thank you for you cooperation.
Copdially, I
l f
