TERMINATION OF CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE NO. 9177 Dear Mr. Hewitt.
. Certificate of Compliance No. 9177 for the Model No. NUPAC 10/140 snd LN 10-135A packages expired on April 1,1999. Accordingly, use of the packages under the General.
License provisions of Subpart C of 10 CFR Part 71 or under the provisions of 49 CFR 173.471 is terminated.
In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 71.52, the packages were previously authorized to transport Low Specific Activity (LSA) radioactive material. However, Section 71.52 expired on 3
April 1,1999; consequently, the certificate cannot be renewed. LSA packages and their use are i
now regulated by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). For r.. ore information on LSA
