As the Board discussed with each of you and Mr. Stallo during our October 24th visit, we have, after a deliberate reexamination of the schedule previously provided to you in my S'e ptember 21 letter, decided to a.sdiff the effective date Oliver D. Kingsley.N r., will succeed Steven A.

White as the senior Vice President. Nuclear Power. In view of the proximate restart of Sequoyah unit 1. it seems prJdent that Mr. White remain in charge of TVA's nuclear program beyond the November 1,1988 date we previously reported. Accordingly, we will be amending the agreement for Mr. White's services to extend the curreat tennination date to a date not later than December 5, 1988, with the parties having the right to tensinate the agreement prior to that time upon mutual

agreement, or by either party giving the other party Feven days' written notice.

Our notification of this action complies with the request in the NRC's safety Evaluation Report on TVA's Revised Corporate Nuclear Performance Plan for notice before any potwnent replacement of senior managers.
