REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CPSES-FSAR Amendments 54 and 55 1.

FSAR amendment 55 added the following items to Sheet 21 of Table 17A-1,

" List of Quality Assured Structures, Systems, and Components." under Item 22, " Containment Ventilation Systems."

f. Containment purge supply and exhaust ductwork and supports dampers and supports containment isolation valves and piping
g. Containment pressure relief ductwork and supports containment isolation valves and piping suction pipe debris screen This is acceptable except that the suction pipe and debris screen do not show a note under the column headed " Quality Assurance" which indicates a that these items will be subject to the pertinent provisions of the 10 CFR 50 appendix 8 QA program during the operations phase. Add such a note (i.e., A, B, or C) to these items or justify not doing so.

FSAR amendment 54 revised the commitment to Regulatory Guide 1.144 [pa 1 A(B) -59] to say that TUGC0 "has elected to adopt, as an alternative commitment to the above referenced ANSI standard, the guidance.... " To avoid misinterpreting what is intended, the commitment should be revised the external audit schedule requirements of the above ref standard, the guidance...."

doing so. So revise the commitment or justify not
