The Commission's regulations on fees as contained in 10 CFR 170 provide for the following relating to NRC review of topical and other reports and amendments or revisions to topical reports filed on or after March 23, 1978:
1.
Bills for review costs are to be issued at six-month intervals as the review progresses or when the review is completed (10 CFR 170.12(f)).
2.
That each new report and each amendment or revision to an accepted report filed on or after June 20, 1984, is to be accompanied by a
$150 application fee (10 CFR 170.12(f)) which is subsequently credited to the account when the first bill is issued for the report.
3.
No report review will be less than $150 (Footnote 2 to the Schedule ofFeesin170.21).
4.
The review cost assessed for each topical report and each amendment or revision to an accepted topical report will be based on full cost not to exceed $20,000 (10 CFR 170.21.J). All other reports are based on full cost for the review, but have no ceiling (170.21.J.4).
As required by 10 CFR 170.12(f), we have completed the collection of the review cost data for your Topical Report No. KPS-1(P) on VR-System 350 -
Low Level Radwaste Volume Reduction System which was submitted to the NRC for review in October 1983. The cost for the review exceeded

Enclosed is a copy of the "NRC Procedures for Extending Payment Dates of M
License Fee Billings". These procedures address extensions for payments bV as well as disputed bills, interest and penalty charges.
