Dear Mr. Thorne:
Enclosed please find a letter from Westinghouse Electric Corporation requesting an amendment to the export license XSNM01067 to increase the quantity of material authorized for export to Yugoslavia for use as fuel in the Krsko Nuclear Power Plant.
Before taking action on this amendment request, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall oerspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the proposed amendment meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 as amended by the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act of 1978.
