Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (5 U.S.C. 5 552) and the NRC's regulations in 10 C.F.R. Part 9, we hereby request copies of (1) All files of the Safety Review Committee, Inspection and Enforcement Group, con-corning the DD-50 circuit Breaker failures at the Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Artificial Island, New Jersey which occurred on February 25,
- 1983, including but not limited to File No.
PI 83-194; (2) All other NRC files concerning those Salem DD-50 circuit Breaker failures and (3) All NRC inspections or audits and/or reports concerning such inspections or audits of Westinghouse Electric Corpora-tion, or any affiliated company, during the period from January 1, 1978 to date, including but not limited to Report No. 99900404/83-03.
We would appreciate your prompt response to this request within the ten working day period provided in 10 C.F.R. 5 9.9.
These documents we are requesting could prove to be significant to ongoing litigation and are needed prompt-ly.
