Committee To Review Generic Requirements

CRGR QUARTERLY AGENDA PLANNING To ensure timely CRGR review and endorsement of proposed generic actions, please provide, on a quarterly basis, a list of topics to be submitted for CRGR review. It is essential that the staff l
submit cumplete proposals, with due concurrences, at least 2 weeks before the projected CRGR I meeting date. As noted in my January 27,1999, memorandum, it is imperative that the I incoming review requests meet the CRGR Charter, Revision 6, requirements. However, for rulemakings only, if the staff has prepared the required regulatory analysis, it will not be necessary to respond to the CRGR Charter questions. For resource-intensive efforts, such as rulemakings, consistent with the Commission direction, the Committee encourages a preliminary review of the rulemaking plans. The staff will then have the benefit of having significant policy concerns and backfit-related issues identified at an early stage.
Within 3 weeks from the date of this memorandum, please provide a list of staff proposals which are likely candidates for CRGR review between May 1 and July 30,1999. For eacn item, include the anticipated time-frame of the requested review, priority, if any, and whether it is on the Chairman's Tasking Memorandum. Additionally, provide the name of the sponsoring l Division Director and the staff contact for each item, o if you have any questions regarding this request, please contact Raji Tripathi of the CRGR staff at 415-7584. f cc: M.
