The United States Enrichment Corporation (USEC) requests that the period provided by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to comment publicly on the subject draft Standard Review Plan (SRP)

/

be extended until November 19,1999.

o The purpose for this extension is to allow USEC to dedicate the resources needed to review the SRP to the currently ongoing Safety Analysis Report rewrite effort. Discussions with the NRC staffindicate a favorable response to this request, in part because the NRC resources will similarly be engaged reviewing USEC's Safety Analysis Report Upgrade submittals. Finally, given that renewal of the Certificates of [

Compliance for the CDPs is not scheduled again until December 31,2003, it would appear an extension is viable.
