IE Bulletin 85-03 "Hotor Operated Valve Common Modu Failures During Plant Transiente due to froroner Switch Settinos Ac indicated in Reference 2, the BWR Owners' Group (BWROG) has recently undertaken the task of developing a generic BWR pocition for mooting the requirements of the subject Bulletin.
The purpoco of this correcpondence is to inform the NRC of Detroit Edison's intent to participate in this BWROG activity and to formally request that a delay in the Fermi-2 specific response to IE Bulletin 85-03 be granted until 45 days following NRC approval of the BWROG generic response.
It is expected that the complete timetable for implomontation of Detroit Edison's program to addronc the cubject Eulletin will be provided at that time, baced on the DWROC generic recponso and its acceptance by the NRC.
