NRC STAFF'S ANSWERS TO OUESTIONS BY THE PRESIDING OFFICER The NRC Staff (Staff) hereby files its answers to the questions set fonh in the appendix to the Presiding Officer's Order dated March 19,1999.' The Staff s answers, attached hereto, are in the form of an affidavit by Mr. Hironori Peterson, Senior License Examiner.' Exhibits referenced in the answers are appended to the affidavit.
In order to comply with the service requirements of the Presiding Officer's Order, the Staff served Mr. Philippon with the Staff s affidavit exhibits by overnight mail on April 15,1999, rather than by facsimile transmission today (due to the length of the exhibits), so that Mr. Philippon would have receipt of the exhibits by the close of business today. This pleading
