This refers to the special inspection cone cted by Messrs. D. G. Wiedeman and
J. R. Mu11auer of this office from October 1 through December 9,1987, of
activities authorized by NRC Source Material License No. 5U8-908 and to the
discussion of our findings with you and Daniel Isaacson on December 9, 1987.
The inspection was initiated in response to our receipt of allegations
concerning the decontamination project e.t your facility.
The enclosed copy of
our inspection report describes the specific allegations and the areas
examined. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
examination of facilities, procedcres, and records; observations; independent
measurements; and interviews with personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this
letter and the enclosed ins,nection report will be placed in the NRC Public
Document Room.
