Dear Mr. Gagliardo:
In our letter of February 7, 1986 (Reference 2), Public Service l
Company of
,lorado (PSC) responded to the Notice of l
Violation 50-2v,/8533-02 (Reference 1) such that full compliance would be achieved by February 28, 1986. After further investigation,
- however, it is r,0w apparent that there is a significant amount of design effort remai..ing to be compieted to actually be in full compliance due to the need for approved consumables to be identified on a specific application basis.
PSC proposes to take a phased approach to inplementation over the next three (3) months with full compliance being achieved by May 31, 1986.
On February 28, 1986, this situation was discussed with Mr. Bennett of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission who was acting in Mr. Jaudon's behalf at the time.
Mr. Bennett requested that we document that discussion via this letter.
