submits Proposed Amendment No. 169.

Proposed Amendment No. 169 modifies the Nuclear Service battery surveillance requirements. Attachment I provides the insertion / removal instructions for and contains the Technical Specification pages affected by Proposed Amendment No. 169. Attachment II contains the Safety Analysis and No Significant Hazards Consideration for Proposed Amendment No. 169.

Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.91(b)(1), the Radiological Health Branch of the California State Department of Health Services has been informed of this proposed amendment by mailed copy of this submittal.

Enclosed is a check in the amount of $150.00, as required by 10 CFR 170.21 "Schedule of Fees."

The District requests that upon approval of this proposed amendment by the NRC, it be made effective no later than thirty days after receipt by the District.
