Dear Mr. Cory and Ms. 7 welling:
On February 13, 1987, the Commission provided an interim response to your Petition dated December 11, 1986, as supplemented January 20, 1987, pursuant to 10 CFR 2.206, requesting that both reactors at the Surry Power Station remain shutdown until certain actions were taken by Virginia Electric and Power Company.
In our response, we stated that on February 10, 1987, the NRC issued the Augmented Inspection Team (AIT-) report which addressed the restart of the Surry Units 1 and 2, and that a copy of the report would-be sent to you under separate cover. Enclosed is a copy of the AIT report for your information.
