Dear Senator Rudman:

Your letter of February 21, 1986 requested connent on the extension of time for filing of contentions in the Matter of Public Service Com)any of New Hampshire, et al. (Seabrook Station, Units 1 and 2),

Doctet Nos. 50-443-OL and 50-444-OL (Offsite Emergency Planning). The letter and accompanying correspondence from four groups was received in this office on February 24, 1986.

The due date for filing of contentions was February 24, 1986. On that date eleven parties to this proceeding did file 116 contentions in 187 pages of text material. These included 16 contentions by the Town of Kensington, 4 contentions by the Town of Rye, 10 contentions by Town of South Hampton, 4 contentions by the Town of Hampton Falls, and 8 -

contentions by the Town of Hampton.
