months. The last surveillance was performed on July 20,1998. On March 21,1999 the University ofIllinois went in violation of surveillance Technical Speci6 cation 4.3 (d) requiring control rod reactivity worth semiannually not to exceed eight months. The last surveillance was performed on July 21,1998.

Both of these surveillances require the reactor in operation to be performed. Since the reactor is

shutdown and in a SAFSTOR status these aurveillances cannot be completed. The technical speci6 cation revisions in support of SAFSTOR eliminate these surveillances.
