In accordanos with the provisions of 10CFR50.64, the Westinghouse Electric Corporation hereby subnits this statament w..ierning the continued use of High Enriched Uranium in the operation of the Zion Nuclear Training I
Reactor (License Number R-119, Docket 50-87). Westinghouse has decided to proceed with the deocamissioning of this non-power reactor in the near I
future. As authorized under the license and as diammaad with your Mr. John Dosa, Westinghouse is currently making au.u ility for recovery of its to ship all the Hm fuel g-: - --d under the license to a DOE fac the uranium. mile the details of this action have not been finalized, it is Westinghouse's intent to acconplish it within the next six months.
Actual hissioning of the facility itself will be hamad on a plan which will be subnitted for NRC review and approval prior to implementation.
