SUBJECT:

FRESH FUEL STORAGE LICENSE CONDITIONS FOR SH0REHAM NUCLEAR STATION Enclosed is a copy of the Part 70 license issued to the Long Island Lighting Company (LILCo) for the Shoreham Nuclear Power Station with the supporting Safety Evaluation Report (SER). Please note that this license contains additional conditions which you may wish to incorporate in your Part 50 operating license.

It should be noted that Condition 11' limited the use of the spent fuel racks-for the dry storage of fresh fuel assemblies to alternate rows. LILCo limited the use of the storage racks to alternate rows to assure nuclear criticality safety for the dry storage of fresh fuel assemblies under optimum mist moderating conditions and water reflection.
