an affirmation / discussion session.
Thevre's one stem on the 4
agenda and I understand there's another short-term item to be 5
addressed.
I will ask the Secretary to lead us through the 6
items and bring up the other matter.
7 MR. CHILK:
The item on the agenda, Mr. Chairman, is 8
SECY 85-305 entitled Limerick Motions.
Here the Commission is l
9 being asked to respond to requests filed by the Graterford 10 inmates and Robert Anthony, Friends of the Earth, that the 11 Commission stay the operational orders issued which authorize 12 the issuance of a full power license for Limerick Unit 1 13 All Commissioners have approved the order which 14 denied the request for a stay.

Here the Commission is being asked to 5
act on the request for hearing from Mr. Burton on the Staff's 6
denial of his application for a senior reactor operator's 7
license.
The Chairman, Commissioners Bernthal, Roberts and 8
Zech have approved an order referring the request to the 9
Chairman of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board for 1
10 appointment of an administrative law judge to conduct a 11 proceeding in accordance with the formal adjudicatory 12 proceeding set out in 10 CFR Part 2 Subpart (g), with the 13 appeals to be handled by the Appeal Board.
14 The request that we're asking you to approve 15 includes a modification on page 2 by Commissioner Roberts, to 16 which all of you have agreed.
Commissioner Asselstine is not 17 available to participate in this action and has no objection 18 to it, our holding this.

He is not available to participate; he 21 does not_ object to this matter coming up for affirmation at 22 this time.
