Dear Mr. Cooper:
OGC GDick MWagner JGoldberg As you may be aware, a Nuclear Regulatory Commission proceeding is sched-uled to commence in early' September on the subject of falsification of leak rate data at TMI-2.
The NRC Staff witnesses in that proceeding would like 4
to refer, in the course of.their testimony in that-proceeding, to photographs of various portions of the TMI-2 control room.
Counsel to GPU Nuclear ad-vised Staff counsel that you had taken a number of photographs of the TMI-2 control room in connection with an earlier lawsuit in which GPUN participated.
- Representatives of the Staff have reviewed copies of those photographs, and have determined that several of them would be of use in our upcoming proceeding.
I ~ understand from your recent telephone discussion with Mary Wagner, NRC staff attorney, that you are agreeable to providing copies of those photographs to the NRC at a cost to us of $18 per 8 x 10 copy.
I also understand that the copying. process should take about one week from your receipt of this request.
Specifically, we would like to have one eight by ten color copy of the follow-ing photographs which you took for GPUN:
