Dear Senator Mikulski:
I am responding to your August 9, 1988 letter regarding Harford County Councilwoman Barbara Risacher's request that the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) address and respond to several concerns associated with the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station as part of its review of the proposed restart of the station.
I have forwarded Ms. Risacher's request to the ACRS.
The Committee has been asked to consider the issues raised by Ms. Risacher during its review of the proposed restart.
A public meeting of the cognizant ACRS subcommittee on the proposed restart of Peach Bottom has not yet been scheduled, but is expected to be held in the Bethesda area in the near future.
A fornal announce-ment of the time and place of the subcommittee meeting will be published in the Federal Recister.
After that meeting, the full ACRS will conduct its review in a public meeting tentatively scheduled on November 17-19, 1988, in room P-114 of the Phillips Building, 7920 Norfolk Avenue, Bethesda, Maryland.
