The Commission was briefed by representatives from Commonwealth Edison (Comed) and members of the NRC staff on the progress and improvements at Comed nuclear power plants.
The Commission requested further information on the criteria used by the staff for determining when performance at Comed's nuclear plants has improved sufficiently to normalize NRC inspection resources and discontinue the Comed Performance Oversight Panel (CPOP).
