Dear Mr. Lewis:
This letter acknowledges receipt of the Petition filed by you pursuant to 10 CFR 2.206 dated July 28, 1985.
Your Petition requests the NRC to initiate hearings to " determine whether to lift or retract" the construction permit for the Limerick Generating Station, Unit 2.
Your Petition referenced the recommendation recently issued by Administrative Law Judge Allison K.' Turner to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Comission.
Your Petition claimed that this information shows that Unit 2 is unneeded and uneconomical and that on this basis the construction permit should be suspended.
Your Petition is being treated under 10 CFR 2.206 of the Comission's regula-tions. The staff will review the Petition and I will issue a formal decision in regard to it within a reasonable time. A copy of the notice that is being filed for publication with the Office of the Federal Register is enclosed for your information.
