" Codes and Standards" The Commission approved a final rule which inccrporates by reference a national consensus l
standard in 10 CFR 50.55a(h) that establishes milimum functional and design requirements for the power, instrumentation, and control portions r,f the safety systems for nuclear power plants.
The Commission approved the publication and implementation of this final rule, as provided in SECY-99-061, subject to the following change.
On page 4 on the Federal Reaister riotice, line 3, delete the duplication of the words 'the use of'so the sentence reads: "In a idition, the final rule mandates the use of the use of IEEE Std. 603-1991 Following incorporation o' the change, the Federal Reaister notice should be reviewed by the Rules Review and Directis es Branch in the Office of Administration and forwarded to the Office of the Secretary for signature and publication.
