Dear Chairman Zech:

I am writing to you at the direct request of a New Hampshire State Representative who is very interested in the Seabrook nuclear power plant.

The Representative would like answers to the following two questions:

1.

What proof is there that the earthquake-proof design used in the construction of the Seabrook plant will actually protect the plant in the event of an earthquake?

2.

Could activity along the Portsmouth and/or Clinton-Newbury geologic faults have any effect upon the Seabrook power plant?

Copies of any reports, studies, or other relevant information that has any bearing on these issues would be appreciated.

Thank you for your consideration and cooperation in this matter.

Sincerely,

.h&d X eke
