L NOTICE TO PARTIES (Closing of Record) 2 On March 14, 1986, the Licensing Board closed the record on environmental and technical issues in the subject proceeding. This occurred following the adjudicatory hearing on those issues, conducted from March 11 through March 14, 1986, at Waynesboro, Georgia. At the end of that hearing the only matters left pending before the Licensing Board were six admitted contentions on emergency planning issues.

The six contentions become the subject of motions by Applicants for

~

sunnary disposition. We granted each of the motions, the last one by Memorandum and Order of July 17, 1986. Nothing is left for the Licensing Board to adjudicate in this proceeding beyond the issues raised in the oral hearing. Disposing of the last contention on emergency planning by summary disposition effectively closed the record in this proceeding, and we so find.

2 We are presently preparing a decision on the issues presented in the March 1986 hearing. It was planned to be a partial initial decision because of the pending contentions on emergency planning. With the disposition of the pending contentions, however, the decision will be the only initial decision in the case.
