Modification No.16 Page 2 of 3 The purpose of this modification is to: 1) extend the period of performance fcr six (6) months through Septerr.ber 26,1999; and 2) increase the obligated and ceiling amounts. Accordingly, the following changes are hereby made:

1)

NRC hereby extends the period of performance specified in item No. 2 of the statement 1

of work. As a result, item No. 2 of the statement of work is hereby revised in its entirety to read as follows:

"The period of performance hereunder shall commence on 3/27/99 and shall continue through 9/26/99. The period of performance may be extended.at the request of NRC.

The Cooperator will be required to submit requested cost proposal.

2)

Due to NRC extending the period of performance under this cooperative agreement, item No. 3, entitled " Cooperative Agreement Period" of the Notice of Cooperative Agreement is hereby revised to read as follows:

The obligated and ceiling amounts are hereby increased by $1,638.55 to cover the extended period. As a result, item No.15, entitled " Funding Sources" of the Notice of Cooperative Agreement is hereby revised as follows:
