Our office is in receipt of year January 14, 1987 letter discussing Mr. Konwinski's September 25, 1985 review of the Conquista Uranium Mill tailings pond. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission's supplies technical assistance to States which have regulatory purview over uranium recovery.
This was the basis for the office's review of the Conquista reclamation plan. We regret that we are unable to supply technical assistance to individuals as you requested. We would, however, recomend that you contact the Texas Department of Health with your concerns since they have licensing responsibility for this site.
