Each shipment will consist of 12 irradiated nuclear research reactor fuel elements loaded in one cask per truck. The fuel elements are irradiated MTR-type plate fuel, composed of low-enriched uranium (less than 20%) clad in aluminum. There will be approximately 7,500 Curies of activity and less than 25 Watts of fission product decay heat per shipment.
Details required by 10 CFR 73 and 49 CFR will be provided prior to shipment.
