OF MEETING HELD ON JUNE 5,1986 - DISCUSSION AND QUESTIONING BY THE INTERVENOR, CITIZENS ASSOCIATION FOR SOUND ENERGY, (CASE), REGARDING THE ISSUES IN THE TECHNICAL. REVIEW .

TEAM (TRT) SUPPLEMENTAI. SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT (SSER) 8 On June 5, 1986, a public meeting was held in Bethesda, Maryland with representatives from the NRC and CASE. This meeting was a continuation of the meeting held on November 19 and 20, 1985, in which time constraints did not allow CASE to discuss the issues in SSER 8. This meeting provided CASE with the opportunity to ask L. Shao and R. Bangart (Technical Review Team group leaders) questions on the civil / structural and miscellaneous issues in SSER

8. This meeting was transcribed. The list of attendees is included in the enclosed transcript (Enclosure 1).

CASE discussed the civil / structural portion of SSER 8 with L. Shao, and discussed the miscellaneous portion of SSER 8 with R. Bangart. CASE had several questions in the civil / structural area that required T. I.angoski's (TRT consultant) expertise. As he was not present for this meeting, CASE requested to have a short interview with him. CASE also asked the staff to follow up on some questions that could not be answered at the meeting. These items are listed in an enclosure (Enclosure 2).

The NRC meeting participants have been provided with a copy of the transcript to review for corrections / clarifications. The corrections / clarifications have been incorporated into the enclosed transcript and are indicated by a bar in the margin, i
