June 4, 1986 letter from E. G. Greenman to Cordell Reed.
Dear Mr. Keppler:
The referenced letter notified Commonwealth Edison Company that the NRC had received an allegation regarding the pilot training program for mechanical maintenance personnel conducted at the Production Training Center.
This allegation has been investigated and has been found to contain no safety related issues.
However, the investigation did identify some instructional areas that require attention. The training program is a pilot program and there are associated growing pains that everyone involved is experiencing.
Improvements are being made in instruction, both in theory and shopwork.
More consideration will be given to the available reference material, the size and make-up of future classes, and the adaptation of classes to student needs. None of the above areas was considered to involve a safety issue.
The details of this investigation are on file at Braidwood Station.
