This is in response to Ms. Sonia Simmons' e-mail of February 3,1999 enclosing a copy of the Texas Department of Health 25 TAC Section 289.203 (Part 22) that was adopted as a final rule by the Texas Board of Health on May 15,1998. We have completed a review of the final rule. comparing it to the equivalent NRC regulation 10 CFR Part 19. We find the State's rule, as adopted, to be compatible with NRC's regulations.
