Th,is is in regard to your application dated July 11, 1978 for a License to Export 4.23 kilograms of highly enriched uranium to Canada for use by Ontario Hydro in the Bruce Generating Stations.

In order for us to complete our review of this license application, we would appreciate receiving a more detailed end-use.

Since the Bruce Generating Stations utilize natural uranium fuel, we believe the highly enriched uranium covered by this application may be intended for fabrication of booster rods.

We would apprechte confirmation of this assumption or an explanation of how the material might otherwise be used.
