EMERGENCY BUS SERVICE FOR CHESTER COUNT WHEREAS, Chester County, through its Office of Emergency Preparedness, under the Emergency Management Services Code (Pennsylvania Act 323 of 1978), has formulated a County Disaster Plan, and under said Act the County has called upon SEPTA and other public and private bus operators to provide available buses (if any) to assist in energency evacuation of County residents; and WHEREAS, Chester County has indicated that it is willing to compensate SEPTA for buses (if any) provided by SEPTA during an actual emergency or test at SEPTA's prevailing charter rate, and to fully reimburse SEPTA for any losses incurred as a result of services provided by SEPTA, and to defend and hold SEPTA harmless against all claims resulting from such services provided by SEPTA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Chief Operations Officer / General Manager of SEPTA is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Chester County, in form approved by the Office of General Counsel, for SEPTA to provide to Chester County SEPTA buses, if anMucNR etWadddbMim during any declared 50-352-OL o,t.ci: t,n. ne. mCommonweal t h E-12 8'56d "
