Dear Mr. Forsyth:

~~'

As you may recall, last spring we met regarcing the emergency planning process for all natural and manmnade disasters affecting Montgomery County, including an incident at the Limerick Generating Station. As we discussed, your assistance will help us coordinate transportation during any major emergency.

The transportation information collected will be used to develop a file of transportation resources potentially available during declared emergencies within the County. Enclosed are two copies of a " Letter of Understanding" for your signature. Please return one copy for the County OEP files. Please also review the attacned " survey" to assure the information is complete and correct. If there are any changes, indicate them right on the " survey" and return them for correction of our files. In the future, we'll update the " survey" data annually.

During tne past two years, the county has been involved in planning the response to possible emergencies at the Linerick Generating Station. An important part of this planned response is training for individuals or organizations who could be involved in sucn a response.

A ninety minute training program covering such emergencies is again being offered to tnose transportation companies that request it. This program is free of charge and can be scneduled at your convenience.

Personally, we recommend this program because it provides an in-depth orientation on response to a radiological emergency.

If you would like to schedule a training session or obtain more information, please call Bob Parterson at 215/495-7589.
