This will acknowledge your letter dated March 26, 1986 in response'to our Notice ~of Violation dated March 5, 1986. Your responses to violations A and C:

are acceptable. However, your answer to violation B still gives us some concern for the safety of the valve associated with the UF cylinder.
6 Currently, only the Department of Transportation (DOT) has regulations requiring the use of protective valve covers during transport of UF cylinders 6
(173.412(j )). Many industries use protective valve covers whenever the potential for valve damage may be present.
It is recommended that during your rewrite of Procedure No. P66,336,
" Preparing and Removing UF Cylinders - Line 1",
that an appropriate safety 6
evaluation be made which -gtves due consideration to the protection of the l
valve-from physical damage during the handling of the UF cy in ers.

In order to resolve violation B of our Notice.of Violation, we would
-l appreciate a copy of your modified procedure which deals with the use of valve covers within thirty (30) days.
