COLLEGE PARK CAMPUS Department of Chemical and Nuclear Engineering August 26, 1986 Mr. Bob Carter Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulations U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D.C. 20555 Dear Mr. Carter Re: License No. R-70; Docket No. 50-166 I request that the Technical Specifications for the Maryland University Training Reactor (MUTR) be amended to reflect recent changes in the University administrative organizational struc-ture. This change will be Admendment # 8. The reason for these changes are because the position of Provost, Division of Mathe-matical and Physical Sciences and Engineering has been elimi-nated. The Dean, College of Engineering, is now the top level administrator for the MUTR Organizational Structure. The organizational change will have no impact on the normal and emergency operations of the MUTR facility. A summary of the changes and the amended pages are actached. The NRC Region I Administrator has already received copies of the revised figures but not the revisions to the text. Please note that I am also enclosing copies of these changes for you to forward to NRC Documents Control.
In addition, for the sake of speed and efficiency, I would like to request that all future correspondence from the NRC to the MUTR Facility be address to the Chairman, Department of Chemical and Nuclear Engineering, The University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland 20742.
