~ Docket Nos. 50-424 and 50-425-oC

Dear Mr. Bordenick:

4 This is in reference to your letter of August 14, 1986, advising of the status of specified state and local response plans relating to compliance with the Board's Memorandum and Order (Ruling on Applicants' Motion for Sumary Disposition of Contention EP-5) that deals with receptica centers.

In ruling on the cited motion for sumary disposition, the Board's concern extended to the emergency plans of Burke County, Georgia, Aiken, Allendale and Barnwell Counties, South Carolina and that of the Savannah River Plant. Your letter of August 14, 1986 addresses

'l of the plans except that for the Savannah River Plant.

Would you please advise why the plan for the Savannah River Plant was not discussed and what action your propose to take in the matter?

Very truly yours, Morton B. Margulied, Chaiman i
