Dear Mr. MacDonald:
The Department of Energy currently plans to remove the Model DF packaging, NRC Certificate of Compliance No. 5463, from service due to a lack of' programmatic need. Renewal of the certificate, which expired on July 31, 1986, will not be requested by the D0E. Should a need arise for the package, a new Safety Analysis Report and application will be submitted.
