Reference:
NRC I & E Bulletin No. 86-02, dated July 10, 1986 The purpose of this letter is to provide the required 7 day response to the referenced NRC Bulletin concerning Static "O" Ring (SOR) differential pressure switches.
Bulletin 86-02 requires the submittal of a report on the extent to which SOR Model 102 or 103 differential pressure switches are installed in safety-related applications and in systems that are subject to limiting conditions for operation in Technical Specifications.
Union Electric has no SOR Model 102 or 103 differential pressure switches installed (or planned) in safety-related applications, as defined in 10 CFR 50.49(b) or in systems that are subject to limiting conditions for operation in Technical Specifications.
Therefore, Action Items 1 through 6 of this bulletin are not applicable to the Callaway Plant.
