.. D Annual Operating Report 1985 AGN 201 M reactor No.107 University of Utah License R-25 Docket #50-72 A. Facility Modifications: None B. Results of Tests and Inspections:
On February 18,1985, the AGN was operated for the purpose of performing the rod drop portion of the annual checks. Ilowever, during operation, channel #3 showed indications of malfunctioning. The run was terminated after the problem was identified. When the repairs to channel #3 are completed, the annual checks will be continued. Tests concerning the reactor structure (Section 4.4) were continued.
These inspections included periodic checks of water level, extraordinary tank corrosion, area radiation surveys, control rod cladding checks, rod drive times, start-up channel calibration, and allinterlock alarms. All checks were found to be normal.
C. Corrective Maintenance:
- 1. Calibration problems were encountered with channel #2. The solution to the problem was replacement of the calibration cell.
- 2. Calibration and/or operational problems were encountered with channel
- 3. The channel is currently being repaired.
