This letter is in response to your letter, dated February 9,1998, regarding the Notice of
Nonconformance (NON) identified in U.S. Nuc! ear Regulatory Commission Inspection Report
No. 710102/97 202, dated March 6,1997.
The NON was issued to VECTRA Technologies, Inc. (VECTRA) for nonconformances ,
'
associated with UX 30 transportation packaging fabrication activities. VECTRA responded to
the NON in a letter to the NRC dated April 10,1997. Subsequent to VECTRA's response letter,
- Chem Nuclear Systems (CNS) applied to the NRC to have Certificate of Compliance

No. 713196 for the UX 30 transferred from VECTRA to CNS.

CNS's corrective actions, as provided in your letter dated February 9,1998, which have been

taken or will be taken regarding the NON and VECTRA's previously proposed corrective actions
appear acceptable and no additionalinformation is required.
Corrective actions taken and the implementation of your quality assurance program will be .
reviewed in future inspections. l
