REQUEST FOR A FOLLOW UP MEETING REGARDING PATIENTS OVEREXPOSED TO RADIATION DURING OPHTHALMIC RADIOTHERAPY
Dear Dra. Feliciano:
This is to request a follow up meeting with you and those members of your staff you deem appropriate to discuss the NRC actions and the Commonwealth's actions as a result of-our meeting of April 3.1997, in which we discussed medical misadministrations received by approximately 250 patients in the.

follow up.
In addition, we understand that you plan to remind, in writing, a

would like to hear your views on the results achieved. We plan to update you on the status of our follow up with the two licensees that were involved in these misde listrations.
In addition, we a. 3 currently reviewing a similar case involving another ophthalmo'vgist, where 21 patients received twice the intended single dose. or a total of approximately 4.000 rads, with two of those patients receiving the dose in two separate areas of the same eye.
Due to the similarities between the cases we would like to hear your views regarding patient follow up. if deemed necessary, with respect to these additional 21 patients. -Also, we can-update you on the results of special inspections we are performing of other opthomologists.
