Dear Mr. Bangart:

This is in regards to the final report on the follow.up IMPEP review of the Nebraska Radiation Control Program dated Decembitt 10,1997 signed by Hugh L Thompson, Jr. As requested in the cover letter, we have reviewed and evaluated the recommendations and suggestion contpined in Section 5 of the report. Our response to recommendations 2 through 5 is as follows:

2. Copies of procedures will be sent to your of0cc for review as they are completed. RMP No. 4.02 was previously submitted to your office and is included in the final re. port. A schedule for procedure development is included in our status repons. ,
3. Monthly telephone conferences have been held since the follow up review and w 11 continue through completion the corrective action plan. Wrinen status reports have been provided every Mo months since the follow-up review and will continue through completion the corrective action plan.
4. We will create an evaluation form to document the annual supervisory review of each inspector prior to performing our Orst accompaniment this year. The training database contains a field for "last inspection accompaniment" which allows us to track when accompaniments need to be performed.
5. A procedure to manage allegations is scheduled to be completed in th: recond quarter of 1998. Staff training on the new procedure will be provided in conjunction with its issuance, HHS Regulation and Licersure P,0.Ona95007 t.incain.
