Subject:

NRC License XSNM-02221 Per our telecon discussion of 4/14/86, the subject license needs to be amended to reflect the actual quantity of U-235 to be shipped. The license specifies 0.80 kg U-235 whereas the actual amount to be shipped turns out to be 0.80289 kg (2.89 grams over the licensed amount). The 100 kg limit on uranium doesn't need to be increased.

Please process this license amendment application on an expedited basis.

The shipment is ready to gc and is now being held up until the requested license amendment is received.

Furthermore, our permit with the Germans to import this material to their country expires the end of April 1986, so the shipment must 1;e made ba(ore the end of this month.

By copy of this memo, the Delegation of the Comisison of the European Communities (EURATOM Supply Agency) is also requested to provide tne necessary paperwork relative to this license amendment on an expedited basis.

Your timely attention to this matter will be most appreciated. Please let me know if you need any further infonnation.

Very truly yours.
