PPAS I have been asked to respond to your letter of March 10, 1986, to NRC's Executive Director of Operations, Victor Stello, Jr., concerning the advance notice of proposed rulemaking for degreed senior operators.
Let me stress that this is an advance notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPRM),
not a proposed rule. The purpose of an ANPRM is to solicit public coment on questions which are relevant to proceeding or not with a proposed rule. At this time, the Comission has not determined that the ANPRM will be issued.
Should the Comission proceed with the ANPRM, we will include your comments _
and letter in our analysis of public coments.
